Note: the c-pillar antenna amplifiers are specific to having HD Radio. I don't know the function of Pin #2 (R_ANT), but it runs from the IBOC Tuner to a splice, then out to each c-pillar antenna amp. The 4 available pins on the IBOC Tuner are for Power, Ground and R_ANT. A single coax is run from the IBOC Tuner to the left c-pillar antenna amp.Ģ. The antenna splitter isn't used in the E65/E66. The facelift ASK and front MMI have the coding options to show HD Radio and talk to the IBOC Tuner.ġ. The c-pillar antenna amplifiers and wiring (including MOST fiber optic cables) were pulled from a 2008 Alpina B7, but should work in any E65 E66 with a facelift ASK and MMI. My last car had an aftermarket HD Radio tuner, and I liked it. If you have HD Radio in your E65/E66, did you ever take pictures or remember what the wiring behind the driver side trunk panel looked like? I've seen this discussed before, but just people saying not to do it because they didn't like HD Radio. Can I just split the wires from the Sirius tuner and run them to Sirius AND IBOC or should I do something else? I assume they are the same for the IBOC tuner and they have to provide power, but I'm not sure if there is some other thing they are used for, signaling or communication for example. What do the 4-Pins on the Sirius tuner do? I see a few antenna connections to the Bluetooth module. The antenna splitter that I need to get doesn't look like it is particularly long, so I don't think it can go up to the AM/FM tuner in the C-Pillar. I know the analog AM/FM tuner is in the driver side C-Pillar. I see where it needs to go (under the navigation DVD drive), and that I need a bracket that I can also order. The OEM Sirius retrofit kit comes with that harness, so I can order that and use it with the IBOC tuner. The MOST/4-pin harness looks identical to the Sirius harness. I didn't get the antenna splitter or the wiring harness for it. I bought the Visteon IBOC tuner for my car. I want to retrofit HD Radio to my 2007 750i.
